This Native American artifact is of a very high quality. It was masterfully hand-made by a Native American artisan, Curtis Bitsui. The center of this medium-sized Medicine Wheel features a traditional four corners design created from genuine buckskin leather straps. It is dressed with brown rabbit fur, colorful trade beads and a medicine bag at the center. The dangles were made from genuine brown-patterned feathers. Feathers are often used as symbols of prayer. The wheel has been wrapped in soft genuine buckskin leather. The diameter of this Medicine Wheel is 6-1/2". Due to the hand-made nature of this item some variations may occur from piece to piece. You'll be getting one from the group.

Many of the Native American tribes of the plains have considered the Medicine Wheel to be a sacred symbol since ancient times. Although the natives of the plains keep the symbol as sacred, the peoples of all Native American tribes respect the symbol and its meaning because the number four holds great significance to the native peoples. The Medicine Wheel is representative of the four directions, the four seasons, the four elements, and the four stages of life: childhood, adolescence, adulthood, and old age.

We understand the true value and nature of hand crafted Indian art. And, we recognize it's important to know that the artist is truly a member of a Native American tribe. So, to ensure you that this is the real deal, a Certificate of Authenticity has been included with this item.
