This Turquoise Bracelet is a sensational piece of hand made Native American jewelry art. This bracelet was made in our shop by master Native American jewelry artist Leo Dawes. This bracelet holds five hand cut cabochons of what looks to be King's Manassa Turquoise. Each Turquoise cab has been artfully set on a shimmering hand made cuff of Sterling Silver. Hand twisted Sterling Silver wire surrounds each Turquoise cab and runs down the center of the double band Sterling Silver cuff to give this bracelet an additional glimmer. This Native American Turquoise Cuff Bracelet will very from 3/4" to 1/2" wide. It'll fit a 6" to a 7" wrist. Stamped Sterling. Signed by the Navajo Indian jewelry artist (Leo Dawes). Turquoise stones may vary.

There are many legends about Turquoise; The Pima consider it to bring good fortune and strength and believe that it helps overcome illness. The Zuni believe that blue turquoise was male and of the sky and green turquoise was female and of the earth. Pueblo Indians thought that its color was stolen from the sky. In Hopi legend the lizard who travels between the above and the below, excretes turquoise and that the stone can hold back floods. The Apache felt that turquoise on a gun or bow made it shoot straight. The Navajo consider it as good fortune to wear and believe it could appease the Wind Spirit.
